This great review has just come in from Marc Higgins at Northern Sky Mag, who writes

This is a glorious album, both understated and majestic, very much a quiet storm..”

I’m looking forward to announcing the album launch date soon.

Pledge Campaign – 6 Days To Go

It is 6 days until my Pledge campaign closes! I have just reached 75% of target and looking good.  I am going to start sending pre-order CDs from Friday as I wanted everyone who has supported the project to get the album ahead of the official release date on 7 April.

It is great being an independent artist – you can just do what you like! Although sometimes things do get a bit haphazard… At times I feel like I am a one man crew on a very big ship. There are so many things to manage.

I posted this song on youtube the other day – I wrote it on a very sunny clear day and the beautiful weather over the weekend inspired me to share it :

The full album is being streamed on The Big Takeover this Friday 31 March. CDs have been sent to Proper Music to be distributed to shops, and it feels exciting to have the album go out into the world!

There is still time to support the project, just click on the link below to pre-order your copy of Antidote.

Hearing ‘Undercurrents’ for the First Time in MQA.

I don’t think I have been the first person to do anything before, so this is a first for me!

‘Undercurrents’ is the first recording by a British artist to be released with MQA! It’s the new way that everyone can listen to music at studio master quality and it really is great.

There is a news story  and a video, made by the good people at MQA, with some of my thoughts about hearing the album on MQA for the first time.
