Antidote the full album is now streaming on The Big Takeover! Please share with your friends if you like it – I hope you enjoy the songs
It is 6 days until my Pledge campaign closes! I have just reached 75% of target and looking good. I am going to start sending pre-order CDs from Friday as I wanted everyone who has supported the project to get the album ahead of the official release date on 7 April.
It is great being an independent artist – you can just do what you like! Although sometimes things do get a bit haphazard… At times I feel like I am a one man crew on a very big ship. There are so many things to manage.
I posted this song on youtube the other day – I wrote it on a very sunny clear day and the beautiful weather over the weekend inspired me to share it :
The full album is being streamed on The Big Takeover this Friday 31 March. CDs have been sent to Proper Music to be distributed to shops, and it feels exciting to have the album go out into the world!
There is still time to support the project, just click on the link below to pre-order your copy of Antidote.
I have reached the end of an intense 2 months recording at home and am getting ready to send tracks to Calum Malcolm to be mixed. ‘Antidote’ is my 6th album and features the amazing musicians Fiona Rutherford (harp) Lawrie Macmillan (bass) Sue McKenzie (saxphone) and Liam Bradley (drums). There are field recordings of sounds from Edinburgh city weaving in and out of the tracks, with a few experiments here and there. I have felt very free with it and it feels true to who I am. I am extremely happy with how it is sounding!
It’s £8 to pre order the digital album or £12 for the CD http://www.pledgemusic.com/projects/amyd-can
To be released end of March 2017.
